Design
When you commission Design South Homes, you get much more than a builder. We will help you find the ideal home site, listen carefully to your desires, work with you to create a thoughtful architectural design statement and help you coordinate your interior and exterior color story.
You can choose from our professionally designed curated floor plans, modify one of our plans to suit your needs, design a new unique home plan, or bring your own plan. We have a library of curated home plans, with an abundance of unique features to suit a variety of styles and help you make your home your own.

Only the finest craftsmen and materials are selected to build a Design South Homes’ Custom Home. We use natural materials and expertly craft them to create warm yet luxurious living spaces that are beautiful and functional. We pay close attention to detail and of superb quality from start to finish, creating a home that is yours and yours alone.

As a custom home builder offering virtually any available design style and finish to our Homeowners, we refrained from offering a standard feature list, often used by production home builders, so that our Homeowners would understand that they are not limited in their options for personalizing their custom home. Recognizing that there are so many differences between our customary included features and the current marketplace, we have structured a Quality Platform to illustrate the quality construction methods, materials and finishes that differentiate Design South Homes and that we consider a quality platform for a custom home project.
Certainly, these items can be specified differently on a future or current project for a Homeowner, but we have included a foundation to provide a framework for Homeowners to use a guideline. Different styles of architecture and the location of the project may influence the construction methods, features and finishes of a custom home project. Please use these items as a guideline for our commitment to delivering a highly personalized, well-constructed home. We cover all of the illustrated items during the Design Phase of your project, as well as many items not illustrated in this example.

Kitchen Design Series
Design South Homes is known for designing and building award-winning kitchens and baths. Stunning and highly functional kitchens have been a principal hallmark of our projects and an essential focal point for our Homeowners.
During the Design Phase, your Kitchen and Bath designs are created in our Design Studio. You will experience your designs in 2D and 3D formats, choose from a multitude of storage and customized design options, and may select from hundreds of samples displayed in our Design Studio – from cabinet door styles, paint and stain finishes, countertop materials, tile backsplash samples, and sink and faucet selections. As a design driven custom home builder, we guide our Homeowners through each step of the Design Phase to create their dream home.
